
Part-time Learning Assistant - Early Childhood Centre

- Provide nurturing and supportive care to children in a day care setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional development.
- Observe, plan and evaluate children's development using the EYFS curriculum.
- Ensure compliance with the regulations of Kind & Gezin and the standards of The British School of Brussels.
- Undertake shared responsibility for health, safety and cleanliness throughout the ECC.
- Ensure the ECC is a safe, stimulating environment for children to flourish.
- Create a secure environment, using imagination and creativity to support children's learning.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall development and improvement of the daycare centre.
- You and your colleagues form a strong and close team. As well as providing support, you will give feedback to each other, with open communication being key. You will share tips and ideas with your team and help think about ways to improve the way our childcare provision works.
- Relevant experience in an educational or childcare setting.
- A passion for early childhood education, with a caring and creative approach to supporting children's learning.
- Positive communication skills and a strong commitment to teamwork.
- A patient and enthusiastic nature, with a keen interest in child development.
- A willingness to follow the EYFS curriculum and work in accordance with Belgian national childcare guidelines.
- Fluency in English is essential, with knowledge of French being a plus.
- Dutch NT2 in speaking

- A part-time (+/- 50%), temporary contract with full obligation to attend all staff meetings and Professional Learning workshops
