We are currently looking for a talented Business Development Manager to join our sales team and drive our international growth strategy across the EMEA region.The opportunityAs our new Business Development Manager, you will be part of a team responsible for establishing new relationships with prospects and expanding relationships with existing customers in the home and building automation market. You'll play a pivotal role in implementing our international growth strategy, creating dealer networks and identifying key investment opportunities that drive our business forward.Key responsibilities
  • Create and develop dealer and value-added reseller networks in the home and building automation sector
  • Identify important medium and long-term investment opportunities and maintain relationships with the full DMU of resulting projects
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the residential segment, including architects and building promotors
  • Engage in cold calling, customer visits, presentations, and trade show participation to promote brand awareness and generate leads
  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM system
  • Collaborate closely with Sales colleagues and cross-departmental teams (Product Marketing, Marketing Communication) to leverage internal resources
  • Report directly to the Business Director Residential
ProfileWhat you'll bring
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management or key account management, preferably in the home and building automation industry
  • Strong networking skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter mentality with a can-do attitude and ability to work both independently and in teams
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Fluent verbal and written knowledge of Dutch, French, and English (additional languages are a plus)
