The focus is on reengineering legacy accounting and financial reporting applications, some of which have been in place for over two decades.The project is driven by:Recent team departures and loss of functional knowledge.The need to rebuild expertise and autonomy within the team.A gradual transition to a modern data platform in the cloud (Oracle environment).🛠️ Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to the functional reengineering of legacy financial applications.Support developers by analyzing requirements, validating solutions, and performing functional testing.Work closely with both onshore and offshore development teams.Use SQL / PL SQL to access, analyze, and test data flows.Help improve and maintain existing (often outdated) documentation.Play an active role in modernizing the business landscape.Collaborate in an Agile environment and support knowledge transfer across the team.✅ ProfileFunctional Skills & Experience:Minimum 5 years of experience in financial accounting, controlling, or financial reporting.Strong understanding of accounting processes and complex data flows.Capable of working independently in environments with limited documentation.Technical Skills:Proficiency in PL SQL is required (for data reading, extraction, and testing).Experience with Oracle environments is a plus.Ability to read COBOL code is a nice-to-have, but not requiredNo prior experience in cloud technologies is required (can be learned on the job).Soft Skills:Strong communicator – clear, structured, and pragmatic. * French, Dutch and English.Resourceful and proactive – able to navigate uncertainty.Comfortable working with distributed teams.✉️ Additional InformationPermanent position (internal).Hybrid working (2 days per week onsite in Brussels).
