Our multinational automation company specializes in creating innovative mobile robotics systems, and we are looking for a talented and passionate Safety & Gateway Software Engineer to join our team in Antwerp, Belgium.You will be part of an international and multicultural team that is responsible for developing robotics software for our AGV (Automated Guided Vehicles).More specifically, you will be responsible, together with the product teams, for the development, maintenance and improvement of our processes and infrastructure for developing, testing and delivering the multiple products making up our on-board robotics software suite. You will work closely with the various development teams to support the continuous integration and delivery of quality solutions.What we offer:The opportunity to work in a fast growing technological companyAn international environmentFlexible working hoursThe ability to work from home (40%)An attractive salary package (car, meal vouchers, insurances,...)36 vacation daysTasks and Qualifications:Responsibilities:You are responsible for the continuous development of the safety & gateway software on our AGVsYou evaluate and integrate new sensors and hardware in close collaboration with our mechatronics teamsYou develop software as described by the User Stories and perform Unit Tests.You document your software so that other team members and departments understand your softwareYou are involved from start to finish of the product life cycleYou adhere to the scaled agile way of working, including participation in dailies and retrospectivesYou take – together with the other team members - ownership of the team results and pro-actively support other team members in delivering the committed backlogYou follow the evolutions in software development and apply then in a pragmatic wayYou adhere to the proposed development guidelines and toolsYou participate in Development Chapter and contribute to best practices on software developmentQualifications:You have a first experience in software engineering practices (e.g. clean code, test driven development, CI/CD)You have affinity with mechatronicsYour experience with agile software development methodologies is a plusYou have knowledge on following languages: C/C++ and/or PLC (according to IEC 61131-3)You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detailYou have strong communication and personal planning skills with the ability to prioritize workloadsYou can work autonomously and with cross-functional teamsYou are pro-active, take initiative within the teamYou are eager to learn and challenge the status-quoYour experience in the intralogistics industry, warehouse automation or material handling is a plusYou have professional proficiency in English
