MissionAs our new Component Manager, you will be at the heart of innovation at IBA and will have a significant impact on healthcare technology that saves lives worldwide. Your mission is to lead a multidisciplinary R&D team, taking full ownership of a critical sub-system within our state-of-the-art proton therapy solutions. You will be the vital link between high-level product strategy and hands-on engineering execution, driving the technical vision and delivery of a component that is scalable, reliable, and technologically advanced for years to come.Challenges we trust you withPeople & Team Leadership:

Sub-System Strategy & Technical Ownership:
  • Define and own the technical roadmap and backlog for your sub-system, translating product strategy and system-level needs into actionable development plans.
  • Oversee the entire development lifecycle, ensuring your team delivers high-quality, compliant, and well-integrated solutions on time within a medical device regulatory framework.
  • Drive the long-term health of your sub-system, proactively managing technical debt, scalability, and lifecycle evolution to ensure future viability.
  • Act as the key technical representative for your sub-system, collaborating seamlessly with other engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment.
What we valueYou have:
  • A proven track record in leading, managing, and mentoring engineering teams, preferably in an R&D or complex technology environment.
  • Solid experience with complex system design and integration, ideally within a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, aerospace, automotive).
  • Demonstrable experience in product lifecycle management, including roadmap definition, backlog prioritization, and managing technical obsolescence.
  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Software, Mechatronics, Electronics) or a related technical field.
