In this role, you will contribute to shaping funding initiatives at the EU level, driving strategic programs that align with our vision for innovation and growth. Collaborate with key stakeholders to secure and shape funding opportunities, monitor emerging EU developments, and support groundbreaking initiatives like IPCEI and the Chips Act. Furthermore, you will work to expand Infineon's network and influence by connecting with decision-makers, ensuring our voice is heard in Europe's strategic landscape.In your new role you will:
- Create funding opportunities in line with the company's strategy in Europe and on EU level with the relevant R&D Teams or OP teams, and other functions
- Contribute to shaping the policy-related funding topics and the non-policy-related topics on EU level
- Proactively shape and internally align funding programs on EU level with relevant internal stakeholders and the Public Policy lead on EU and national level in line with Infineon's global funding strategy
- Monitor, assess and report developments on EU level with regard to Infineon's global strategy fields exceeding the R&D topic
- Support the development of IPCEI and Chips Act programs together with internal stakeholders
- Expand and deepen Infineon's network on EU and national level with a focus on decision makers relevant for Infineon's European strategic topics
You have a strategic mindset, capable of identifying and leveraging funding opportunities that align with the company's long-term goals. You possess exceptional communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective work with diverse internal stakeholders, EU decision-makers, and external partners. You have strong networking and relationship-building abilities, allowing you to expand and maintain Infineon's influence at both EU and national levels.You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A university degree in Legal Studies, Policy Studies, Physics, Engineering, or similar field
- At least 5 to 10 years of job experience in the public policy sector, including but not limited to roles in the European Parliament, EU Commission, government relations agency, or association
- A sustainable network among policymakers in Brussels
- Fluency in English (mandatory) - French, German, or another EU language is an advantage
