New or modified Process definition & implementationDuring the Industrialization Phase of a new contract, together with the rest of the project team, leads the technical definition, elaborates & implements the most optimized manufacturing processes and guarantees that the project objectives and the customers' specifications are respected
Through the Engineering and project meetings, ensure the best design/process is selected for Asco objectives
Challenge design/specification and propose alternatives to ensure the manufacturability and minimize costs
Defines a machining process according to Methods AQI, TR, defined targets and customer specifications
Through the PFMEA meetings, assess and mitigate the risks of the process.
Defines cutting tools and machining strategies
Provide machining strategies (VO) to CAM engineers
Follows the trial runs of new NC-tapes and manages feedbacks and is the end responsible of a process capable to achieve good parts (quality/costs)
Compiles technical files
Helps other to solve technical problems
2. Technical ImprovementsSupports introduction & implementation of technical improvements around the machining processes in order to improve effectiveness and performances
Under supervision of Senior ME, he develops calculators, databases and technical helps for the Manufacturing Engineers
Together with Senior ME's; elaborates new machining strategies with proven performances
Tests and validates standard way of working (VO, cutting tools, strategies, …) for the department
3. Operational supportGives support to other departments/plants on technical machining topics in order to satisfy external demands with technical content
Provides technical support to subcontracting
Provides estimations to Bidding cell
Helps in concurrent engineering
Delivers technical support on demand
Profile Know How and ExperienceEducation: Industrial Engineer Mechanics or Electro Mechanics or equivalent through experienceLanguages: French and/or Dutch + EnglishSkills / Experience:
Good knowledge of industrial development : milling techniques, CNC machines, cutting tools, hard metal machining
IT knowledge: CATIA V5 (consulting) & Vericut (Cgtech), Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Programming Skills and SPC
Social, Team player, Analytical, Open, Eager to learn
Willingness to travel is an asset
