Job Description:Division: Group Technology Services (GTS)Your team:The Mainframe Engineering team provides the end to end support for Euroclear's computational powerhouse: The mainframe machines. Become one of the experts who control these powerful machines that keep the financial world running!Our team's services comprise system administration, database administration and middleware support as well as ensuring Mainframe security.Your role:As Mainframe Framework Analyst/Programmer you will maintain and write Framework programs. These are the Mainframe programs that are used in common by all the application programsYour responsibilities will include:
Support existing Framework CICS/MQ/DB2 programs written in PL/1 & Cobol
Write new Framework CICS/MQ/DB2 programs in PL/1
Write new Framework programs in Java
Write new Framework programs in Python
Support of these programming languages: PL/1 Java Python Cobol
Solve complex problems/bugs with programming languages
Support clients with CICS Web Services
Support Development/Testing teams
Please note this role could include occasional weekend work and Watch Duty on-call support outside business hours assigned on a rotational basis.The required skills:
Advanced experience developing on the Mainframe (JCL, SDSF, Mainframe languages, Compilation options)
Advanced experience with programming in PL/1 - CICS - MQ - DB2
Experience with Java, Cobol, Python
Good understanding of the internal of CICS
Good understanding of the internal of MQ
Good development skills in TSO/ISPF/Rexx
Able to debug program dump
Experience with application performance issues in a DB2/CICS/MQ environment
Agile/Scrum ceremonies and practices
Team player
Problem solving and lateral thinking mind-set
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong interpersonal skills to work in a high availability environment
Eager to document and improve processes
Nice to have:
Experience with z/OS Connect, RestAPI, ZOWE, SOAP, Eclipse, Visual Studio Code
Experience with Debugging tools and IBM Application Performance Analyzer
