Latest focus points include electrification, big data and connectivity. Our team “Advanced Powertrain & Target Setting” is a research group within Powertrain covering xEV battery, E-motor, Power electronics, Charging strategy and other alternative Powertrains.Your projectWith increasing electrification, batteries play an increasingly important role in mobility and other areas. You will support to research the latest technology on battery cells and packs, as well as simulation of various use cases. The project scope can be adjusted to your skillset and can contain following activities, but is not restricted to:
  • State-of-art & future technology research (from research papers, patents, conferences and other information sources) with regards to battery cell, pack, thermal management to develop and update technology roadmaps for Toyota in Europe
  • Application of battery simulation model in various use cases including thermal management for technology concept evaluation towards ultra-fast charging, etc.

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • Master or PhD student in the field of electromechanical, electrical or electro-chemical Engineering.
  • Open minded and keen to work proactively in a multi-cultural business environment
  • Highly motivated with a passion for electrification
  • Fluent in English (reading; writing; speaking)
  • Able to summarize and explain complex technical information in a simple, clear and visual way
