Internship: Rework existing microservice-based application to serverless architecture in Google ClouGlobal Information TechnologyInternIeperYour future jobAs an Rework existing microservice-based application to serverless architecture in Google Cloud at Melexis, you will contribute to the development and optimization of Akaunto, an internal application that automates employee onboarding and offboarding tasks through a suite of microservices deployed on a Kubernetes cluster.More specifically, you willmigrate this away from kubernetes to Google Cloud Functions, where the application is only running when requests are coming in, and scaling up/down as needed.
This will involve applying changes to the application code, modifying the cloud infrastructure and updating deployment pipelines...Your profileKnowledge of Python 3 or willingness to learn to read/write modern Python (3.12+)Have basic experience with Git or similar Version Control System.Interest in learning to work with, and deploying to, a Google Cloud environment using Gitlab CI/CD and Terraform.Work is expected to be performed relatively independent, but there will always be multiple team members available to help as needed.We offer
