As Infrastructure Engineer, you will shape, design, implement, and test the IT infrastructure of the next-generation proton therapy clinical sites. You will be responsible for provisioning and automating these infrastructures using Ansible technologies, ensuring high reliability, scalability, and consistency across deployments.Challenges we trust you with
- Participating in the evolution of our Proton Therapy IT infrastructure, including:
- Developing and optimizing Ansible playbooks and scripts to automate system setup, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Managing configuration control workflows using Git.
- Investigating, documenting, and improving deployment automation pipelines.
- Aggregating, testing, and documenting Quarterly Patch Bundles (SUSE, Debian, Windows, etc.), and ensuring compatibility with all supported software versions.
- Updating and testing automated provisioning and test systems for new OS versions.
- Assisting with the maintenance and administration of physical and virtual lab environments.
- Designing and running automated Python-based tests to verify the proper functioning of the IT infrastructure.
- Supporting seamless design transfer to operations, enabling smooth deployment of updates and upgrades at customer sites.
- Occasionally traveling abroad (2-3 missions per year, 5-15 days each) to support project needs.
- Strong expertise in Linux/Unix system administration (SLES, OpenSUSE, Debian)
- Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking (design and administration)
- Experience with virtualized environments (VMware, KVM)
- Proficiency in collaborative development using Git and/or SVN
- Solid scripting skills in Python (Shell and Perl are a plus)
- Familiarity with Ansible playbooks and inventories
- Active awareness of cybersecurity best practices
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal (including technical writing)
- (Bonus) Experience with PyTest, Samba4 AD DC, HP hardware (ProLiant servers, Z workstations, Aruba/ProCurve networking, 3PAR & Nimble SAN)
- (Bonus) Working knowledge of Windows administration
