- Lead Strategic Initiatives: Manage a portfolio of applications and projects that enhance airline processes, ensuring they align with our global standards and business objectives. Your expertise will help streamline operations and improve overall performance.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Oversee the maintenance and engineering program, implementing incremental changes that positively impact operations over the next 1 to 3 years. You will play a key role in identifying areas for enhancement and leading initiatives that drive safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Leaders: Work closely with functional leaders within the airlines to align business processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with IT architecture, IT security and standards. Your collaborative approach will foster strong relationships across departments.
- Champion Projects: Prioritize and manage program and major project work, holding accountability for successful outcomes. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the agreed specifications.
- Develop Your Team: Coach and mentor project managers, business analysts and other team members, fostering a culture of respect and growth. Your guidance will empower your team to excel and deliver high-quality results.
- Ensure Knowledge Management: Maintain and enhance the knowledge and capabilities needed for the efficient use of IT applications, working with IT partners for optimal performance. You will be instrumental in ensuring that best practices are shared and implemented.
- Represent Your Area: Act as a liaison for your focus area in functional groups, preparing materials for senior management review. Your insights will contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Utilize Best Practices: Apply your expertise in project management methodologies (Prince 2, PMP) to ensure compliance and excellence in service delivery. Your ability to navigate complex project landscapes will be essential.
- Manage Vendor Relationships: Collaborate with procurement, IT and legal teams to ensure beneficial vendor contracts. Your product management skills will secure operational system availability and follow up with vendor performance.
- Experience: At least 10 years in airline operations, preferably in aircraft maintenance and engineering domain; and 5 years in direct people management, showcasing your leadership abilities.
- Education: Master’s degree in engineering or similar by experience.
- Skills: Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills, with a solid understanding of airline technical operations and information systems (e.g., AMOS, TRAX). Your technical acumen will be invaluable in driving projects forward.
