We are currently looking for a talented Cloud Software Developer to join our R&D team and contribute to our IoT solutions for building automation.As a Cloud Software Developer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary scrum team that takes ownership of designing and implementing our platform and its software features, with a focus on the cloud part. You will play a crucial role in the development of our IoT portfolio, working on innovative solutions that shape the future of building automation.Key responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain new software solutions within Niko's IoT portfolio
  • Integrate and maintain 3rd party APIs (Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, ...)
  • Estimate, execute and implement software solutions in accordance with our Agile software development process
  • Be part of a multi-disciplinary agile team that takes ownership of designing, implementing and maintaining our platform and its software features
  • Perform code reviews, document and maintain software solutions in a structured and natural way of working
  • Suggest, discuss and define the optimum interface between hardware and software
  • Collaborate with our validation team on various test procedures for automated and functional tests of the implemented code
ProfileWhat you'll bring
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or similar engineering domain, or equivalent through experience
  • 6-10 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of:
· Microsoft .NET Core/Framework, C#
· MS SQL Server queries
· Azure (Azure CLI, Portal, Web apps / Functions, IoT Hub, Containers, API Management ...)
· REST API
· PowerShell scripting
· GIT
· Object-oriented design concepts
· Unit testing, acceptance testing * Native Dutch proficiency
  • Business fluent English
  • A quick learner and passionate cloud software developer who is always up to date with new technologies
  • Team player who can also work independently
  • Systematic approach in your way of working
  • Good communication skills
Plus points
  • Knowledge of Terraform, Jira, Jenkins, Networking, Docker, Shell/bash scripting
  • Experience with web development (Angular)
  • Knowledge of cloud providers other than Azure
  • Experience with data science and/or machine learning in Azure
  • Microsoft Certified Developer
  • Experience with agile/lean methodologies
