Job Title: Senior Artificial Intelligence (AI) EngineerLocation: Brussels (Hybrid - up to 50% remote)About the RoleWe're looking for a Senior AI/Data Engineer to join a high-impact Data Center of Excellence team, where you'll lead the development and governance of a modern Azure-based AI ecosystem.Key Responsibilities
Extend and maintain a robust Azure-based Data Platform (Databricks).
Lead the deployment and technical ownership of Azure AI services including AI Foundry, AI Search, OpenAI, and Document Intelligence.
Ensure data governance, security, and compliance across Azure services.
Design and implement scalable data ingestion pipelines for AI-driven initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on AI projects and architecture.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members.
Contribute to architectural decisions, model selection, and infrastructure design.
Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of AI and data infrastructure.
Your Profile
Proven experience as a Data/AI Engineer in enterprise environments.
Expert-level proficiency in Databricks (3+ years).
Strong hands-on experience with Azure AI Services and Azure infrastructure.
Proficient in Python, SQL, and Spark (intermediate+).
Skilled in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Solid understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, and performance optimization.
Full professional proficiency in English; Dutch or French is a plus.
Microsoft Azure certification(s) are a strong asset.
