  • Oversee insurance renewals (of which but not limited to Liability, Environmental Liability, Financial Lines and Cyber) ensuring timely completion and best coverage. Take responsibility for evaluating the wording of policies, adequate limits and appropriateness of retentions / deductibles. Research and recommend the most cost-effective transfer risk solutions.
  • Implement and monitor risk prevention initiatives to minimise liabilities: work in coordination with the Business and Group Risk Manager on risk mitigation initiatives
  • Manage all aspects of insurance claims, from filing to resolution.
  • Conduct insurance due diligence reports for acquisitions/ investments (M&A) and assess potential benefits of transactional policies.
  • Maintain clear and accurate insurance program documentation (summaries, certificate, premium & claim reporting, etc.); coordinate local underlying policies of global insurance programs in conjunction with global brokers and their online reporting tools.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders across entities and businesses within the Eurofins network on insurance needs such as providing support and guidance to National Service Centers (NSC) with respect to local risk issues and insurance related matters.
  • Build and manage relationships with external insurance brokers, carriers, and captive management providers.
  • Analyse insurance data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities, including potential captive participation.
  • Assist with the negotiation of favorable insurance terms and pricing, considering captive options.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of insurance policies and procedures, including captive management strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes impacting Eurofins’ activities.
  • Conduct research and recommend new insurance solutions, including captive participation, as needed.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all insurance program requirements.
  • Proactively identify and address potential insurance risks.
QualificationsPersonal skills:
  • Good knowledge of the insurance industry, insurance policy wording (especially Liability type) and experience with international insurance programs.
  • Excellent communication skills: This role requires clear and concise communication with both internal and external stakeholders. You'll need to explain complex insurance concepts to non-insurance professionals and negotiate effectively with brokers and carriers.
  • Strong analytical skills: Analysing insurance data is crucial for identifying trends, cost-saving opportunities, and potential areas for captive participation.
  • Problem-solving skills: From managing claims to mitigating risks, this role demands the ability to identify and solve problems efficiently.
  • Attention to detail: Accuracy is paramount when dealing with insurance policies and procedures. You'll need a keen eye for detail to ensure everything is correct and compliant.
  • Relationship management skills: Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal departments, brokers, carriers, and potentially captive providers is essential for success.
  • Tech savvy with knowledge of Excel and other Business Intelligence tools
  • Ability to work in an autonomous manner in a rapidly-changing organisation
  • Available to travel
Education:
  • Master‘s Degree in Law/Economics/Insurance/Risk Management or equivalent
Language skills:
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Any additional language is an asset
Previous experience:
  • 5 years minimum of experience in insurance (insurers / brokers / insurance risk managers)
