Remote Work: Up to 2 days/weekAbout the RoleWe are looking for a passionate GIS & Data Specialist to join a forward-thinking Data & Digitalisation team driving digital transformation in the infrastructure and construction sector. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, geospatial intelligence, and innovation – and wants to contribute to impactful, long-term change.Key ResponsibilitiesGIS Tools & Database Management:
Develop and maintain geospatial tools and services (geoportals, web mapping apps, etc.) and manage geospatial databases to ensure seamless data integration and visualization.Data Collection & Processing:
Collect, clean, and manage both spatial and non-spatial datasets. Ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy for reliable geospatial analysis and reporting.Project Coordination:
Lead geospatial projects aligned with infrastructure and construction needs. Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, translate business needs into technical solutions, and communicate complex concepts clearly.User Support & Training:
Provide technical support and training for internal teams and clients using GIS services. Promote adoption and ensure users are equipped to fully leverage geospatial tools.Process Improvement & Documentation:
Automate repetitive tasks, improve analysis workflows, stay up to date with emerging geospatial tech, and document all procedures to ensure scalability and reproducibility.Required ProfileMaster’s degree in Geography, Bioengineering, Earth Sciences or related field, with a specialization in GIS and ideally in data management.Solid command of GIS technologies (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS), GNSS systems, geospatial analysis, and back-end IT environments.Fluency in Dutch, with working knowledge of the other language and professional proficiency in English.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent communicator, capable of delivering clear, structured, and didactic messages tailored to varied audiences.Bonus Skills (Preferred but not required)Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and 3D digital models.Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI, Digital Twins, or IoT in infrastructure contexts.What’s OfferedA stimulating role in a dynamic, evolving organization.A human-sized structure with about 100 employees.Market-aligned salary package and performance-based growth opportunities.Meal vouchers (€8), public transport coverage, phone + subscription, laptop.Hospital and group insurance.12 additional paid leave days (RTT) for full-time roles.Flexible work policy (telework up to 2 days/week).Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
