Put your passion, drive and expertise to work with the world's cloud security leader.We're looking for an experienced Senior Director, Government Partnerships & Public Affairs, EMEA, to join our Government Partnerships team. Reporting to the VP and Head of EMEA Government Partnerships, you'll be responsible for:
  • Driving strategic policy initiatives: Contributes to the development and execution of Zscaler's advocacy strategies and government relations agenda for Africa and across EMEA, aligning priorities with cross-functional teams to address legislative topics, advance key campaigns, and contribute to internal analysis and external engagement on policy and legislation impacting Zscaler and its customers.
  • Strengthening external representation: Prepare and represent Zscaler in high-profile engagements with senior government officials, international organizations, think tanks, and media. Participate in and drive presence at industry events, trade associations, and stakeholder forums to communicate corporate objectives and enhance the company's reputation.
  • Building strategic partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with key influencers, governmental and non-governmental stakeholders, academia, and trade associations. Forge alliances with industry and thought leaders to align on Zscaler's priorities, advance advocacy efforts, and gather strategic insights.
  • Collaborating across teams: Provide expertise on political and regulatory landscapes to inform business and product strategies, enable regional opportunities, and drive alignment across compliance, sales, and other departments. Act as a subject matter expert on projects that impact Zscaler's long-term goals.
  • Advancing market success: Lead initiatives to address regulatory challenges, unlock market opportunities, and position Zscaler as a trusted, innovative leader in security and data protection technology for governments and organizations across EMEA.
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
  • Degree in political science, economics, law or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years' professional experience in national government or in international institutions, trade associations or from a government or corporate affairs function.
  • Strong experience addressing regulatory and policy matters related to cybersecurity, AI, and technology through interaction with policymakers, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders, with deep knowledge of EU public policies and legislation in these areas.
  • Experience working on policy initiatives within African countries, institutions like the African Union, or engaging with international organizations such as the European Union and NATO.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft and execute impactful political and communications strategies and advocacy campaigns.

  • Brings an already highly developed network of influential contacts across government, international institutions, academia, think tanks and NGOs which can serve as a base for engagement by Zscaler in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
  • Proven ability to leverage trade associations, industry groups, and consultancies to shape and influence policy and regulatory objectives responsibly and ethically.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of how companies can engage effectively with decision-making structures within the European Union and NATO.
