- be a proactive business partner to our CEO, regional Managing Directors and other budget owners, in setting budgets, working out scenarios and making strategic (investment) decisions along the year
- set and own the yearly global strategy and roadmap for Finance & Legal
- manage our annual budgeting process, and the half-yearly rebudgetting
- deliver monthly & quarterly analysis and reporting of the business' financial results including variances to plan, ensuring key issues, risks, and business drivers are understood and highlighted
- manage the financial and fiscal risks and affairs for our multinational company (e.g. transfer pricing, cash flow management,...) and ensure compliance
- Review and revise services KPIs as needed to ensure they provide the right predictability and transparency into the business
- be an outstanding project manager, collaborator and communicator when embedding (new) financial systems and workflows into the business
- manage projects from A-to-Z such as setting up or closing a new legal entity, optimising our working capital, leading subsidiary requests for innovative projects, etc.
- ensure smooth operational workflows related to finance such as Invoicing, Expense management, Cost authorization, etc; and maintain consistency and clarity across our different entities on those workflows
- continuously look for automation and digital tools taking our operational workflows to the next level (current tech stack running on Xero, Exact Online, BrightAnalytics and Vogsy)
- manage our accounting across legal entities in Belgium, USA, and Singapore; together with 1 internal finance controller, 1 finance administrator, regional office/operations managers, and external accounting firms
- manage our legal risk (mainly client contracts & negotiations; in collaboration with external legal counsel) and insurances.
- manage our Corporate Governance (e.g. Board of Directors meetings & reporting)
- 8+ years of relevant experience for this role (e.g. as head of finance, financial consultant, CFO, Sr. controller, Sr. accountant, finance manager, investment manager, M&A advisor, financial analyst…)
- Relevant academic background (e.g. Master in Business Administration, Applied Economics, Commercial Engineering,…)
- You understand the dynamics of a professional services firm
- You bring international experience
- You are tech savvy and an outstanding project manager and communicator
- You have experience managing a team, as well as external partners (accounting firms, law firms…)
- You can think strategically while also being hands-on enough to make change happen quickly in a scale-up environment
