We recently raised €50 million and are growing fast:we will open 12 new offices in 2024 (e.g. Austria, Sweden, Singapore, Ireland etc.) and hire 1,000 people by 2025.As a Tax Advisor at I-care, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with international tax regulations and optimizing our corporate tax strategies across our global subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will possess approximately 5 years of experience in corporate taxation, with a focus on negotiating with tax administrations and leveraging specialized tax expertise when necessary. This is a part-time position, with a commitment of 60 to 80%.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert tax advice and guidance to corporate leadership on international tax matters, including transfer pricing, cross-border transactions, and tax planning strategies.
  • Conduct comprehensive tax reviews and analysis of global financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and mitigate tax risks.
  • Collaborate with regional finance teams to ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations in each jurisdiction where we operate.
  • Develop and implement tax policies and procedures to streamline tax reporting and ensure accuracy and consistency across our global subsidiaries.
  • Serve as a liaison with external tax advisors and auditors, managing relationships and leveraging their expertise to address complex tax issues effectively.
  • Stay abreast of changes in international tax legislation and regulations, assessing the potential impact on our business operations and tax strategies.
  • Communicate tax requirements and implications to internal stakeholders, providing guidance and support to facilitate informed decision-making.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Law with an additional Master's degree in Tax Law required.
  • Approximately 5 years of experience in corporate taxation, preferably within a multinational technology company.
  • Deep understanding of international tax principles, including transfer pricing, permanent establishment, indirect tax and tax treaty interpretation.
  • Experience negotiating with tax authorities and managing tax audits across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and apply them to practical business situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office suite.
