We explore new technologies and invest in infrastructure to accommodate hydrogen, biomethane, CO2 and other molecules for a climate neutral future.The Intervention Centre is primarily tasked with ensuring the continuity and integrity of the network. To this end, our teams are available 24 hours a day to carry out all kinds of scheduled and unscheduled work on our transmission facilities, including adjustments and repairs.The Intervention Centre complies with the ISO 9001 quality standard and SCC (VCA) in all its activities: welded structures, mechanical worksite, logistics and warehouse.Our Intervention Centre at our field office in Sint-Pieters-Leeuw is looking for a Piping Coordinator (m/f/x).The Intervention Centre's “Gelaste constructies” ( is responsible for the construction and alteration of our transmission facilities. These facilities are prefabricated in the welding workshop and are assembled later on site. The completed facility is made up of weld and flange connections.As Coordinator, you will have the following responsibilities:
Devising the daily production schedules for the welding workshop/assembly
Supervising the daily operation of the welding workshop/assembly and making adjustments where necessary
Working with
on the research and further development (R&D) of the welding workshop and assembly * Preparing, following up on and dealing with admin when it comes to prefabrication projects and internal work orders according to the agreed schedule
Monitoring and recording the ISO 9001 quality objectives of the welding workshop/assembly
Monitoring and recording welder qualifications
Handling the practical organisation of welding procedure qualifications together with the intervention leaders
Supervising internal welders and fitter-drivers:
Setting goals
Conducting performance and evaluation interviews
Conducting evaluation interviews (see above)
Checking the content of technical training courses
Monitoring external employees:
Scheduling
Time-clock data and invoicing
Monitoring the painting of prefab piping
Monitoring the transport of prefabricated parts to the site/pipe depot/painting area
You hold a bachelor's degree in a technical field or have equivalent experience
Experience in welding or industrial piping would be an advantage
You are willing to take the International Welding Specialist (IWS) course
You adopt a solution-oriented approach, have strong organisational skills and are a skilled team leader
You are flexible, proactive and are conscientious when it comes to administrative tasks
You are fluent in Dutch and French and have a basic grasp of English
You are a proficient user of MS Office. Knowledge of SAP would be a plus
You hold a category B driving licence and have your own vehicle
You are willing to eventually be part of a shift/on-call system.
