  • Day-to-day project management of the engagement involving:
o Assisting in the structuring of the engagement approach, scope and deliverableso Taking a leadership in the delivery of the engagement or significant workstream in the engagemento Managing the team to address the scope within the required timeframe and budgeto Forming initial views and opinions on the engagement to debate with either lead Managing Director or Senior Managing Directoro Communicating with the external stakeholders to keep them appraised of progress, initial observations and issueso Playing an active role in engagements including: driving and coordinating the financial restructuring process, providing financial analysis to support advice and the evaluation (likelihood or attractiveness) of restructuring options and scenarioso Coaching and addressing the issues/problems faced by the junior team memberso Taking responsibility for producing and delivering the client a substantial element of the deliverable
  • Take a lead role in business development activities, such as:
o Organising client relationship building eventso Contributing to thought leadership presentations and eventso Preparation and participation in formal pitcheso On the job coaching of our teamo Preparation and participation in training activitieso building and sharing personal relationship networksEducation and Qualifications:
  • Mater degree in related field
Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to work in a meritocratic structure which recognizes and rewards individual contribution
  • Excellent report writing and analytical skills
  • Good knowledge of Excel and manipulation/analysis of diverse data sets
  • Self-starter and inquisitive
  • Team player
  • Strong relationship management skills

  • Fluent in French, Dutch and English
  • Results orientated
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to be flexible with the demands of transaction / project based work that can require periods of intensive work and travel
Experience:
  • 8+ years post qualification experience
  • Relevant corporate restructuring experience either on behalf of creditors or distressed corporates
  • A developed professional network which is relevant to the Belgian restructuring market
  • Business development and revenue generation experience
  • Experience in delivering and managing restructuring/advisory work
  • Experience of leading and mentoring teams
  • Consulting experience in a leading international firm. Additional operational experience would be appreciated.
  • Experience in analysis of historical and forecast financial performance and financial model review / data analysis
  • Previous experience in report writing and drafting sections of larger reports
  • Experience of discussing and presenting findings to either clients, other stakeholders or senior internal team members
