Offer DescriptionWe are seeking a talented researcher to join our team and contribute to the advancement of security measures in routing protocols. In this role, you will focus on detecting and localizing attacks on routing protocols, particularly in the context of multi-hop networks such as those found in the Internet of Things (IoT) and their interconnection to the cloud.Contract duration: 1 year, full-time.Applications will be treated in batches every week until a candidate is found.Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and analyze the vulnerabilities and attack vectors in routing protocols, with a specific emphasis on RPL (Routing Protocol for Low-Power and Lossy Networks).
  • Explore the application of machine learning techniques for the detection of anomalies and attacks in routing protocols.
  • Develop novel algorithms and methodologies to leverage graph properties of the Internet and multi-hop networks for attack localization.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers to integrate the developed methods into practical solutions for real-world deployment.
  • Design and conduct experiments to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed methods in detecting and localizing attacks on routing protocols.
  • Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals, and contribute to patent applications where applicable.
Qualifications:
  • Master in computer science with a focus on networking, security, or machine learning.
  • Strong background in networking protocols, particularly in routing protocols and multi-hop networks.
