- Investigate and analyze the vulnerabilities and attack vectors in routing protocols, with a specific emphasis on RPL (Routing Protocol for Low-Power and Lossy Networks).
- Explore the application of machine learning techniques for the detection of anomalies and attacks in routing protocols.
- Develop novel algorithms and methodologies to leverage graph properties of the Internet and multi-hop networks for attack localization.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers to integrate the developed methods into practical solutions for real-world deployment.
- Design and conduct experiments to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed methods in detecting and localizing attacks on routing protocols.
- Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals, and contribute to patent applications where applicable.
- Master in computer science with a focus on networking, security, or machine learning.
- Strong background in networking protocols, particularly in routing protocols and multi-hop networks.
- Experience with machine learning techniques, such as supervised and unsupervised learning, anomaly detection, and graph analytics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or R, for data analysis and algorithm development.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
