As part of a critical upgrade project, they are seeking a skilled Automation engineer to support the installation and commissioning of a new furnace.The RoleThis is a hands-on, Full-time freelance role for an experienced engineer with a solid electrical background. You will work closely with the engineering and project teams, contributing to PLC Programming and electrical reviews.Key Responsibilities
Programming and troubleshooting Siemens S7 PLC systems
Collaborating on the electrical design and documentation for the installation of a new furnace
Reviewing and updating electrical drawings and schematics
Working cross-functionally with internal teams and contractors to ensure electrical and automation standards are met
Requirements
Strong background in electrical engineering, preferably in an industrial or heavy manufacturing setting
Solid experience with Siemens S7 PLCs
Proven experience creating, reviewing, and updating electrical installation drawings
Understanding of industrial automation, safety standards, and process control
Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written) - essential for on-site collaboration
EU work rights or based in the Netherlands
