About the roleLocation: Belgium - MechelenHours: Part-TimeType of Contract: PermanentA broad HR Business Partner role - in an international organization - based out of Mechelen. Sound interesting ?We are looking for a People & Culture (HR) Business Partner (50% part-time) to join Borealis and help us develop our people and organization.The role will include a mix of working on operational tasks in combination with more strategic activities. You will be part of the Mechelen Management Team in the organization and together with the other MMT members to drive proactively all people management matters - including engaging in union dialogues - and steering change initiatives.In our ambition to make progress, this will be your contribution in this role:
  • Drive all People & Culture processes throughout the locations and steer people related topics in your area of responsibility, like employee engagement, organizational changes, wellbeing, leadership development, succession planning and end-of-career management,....
  • Coach and support managers on all people and organizational matters to meet the defined people KPI's and manage change projects in line with the company's transformational journey.
  • Actively engage in an open and constructive dialogue with union representatives in your area, including CLA- and other negotiations.
  • Ensure that Borealis Values and Transformational Leadership are taken into account at all times when people related decisions are taken.
  • Challenge business decisions that may result in high-risk people or cost implications and provide alternative options.
  • Ensure that business reality is taken into consideration in P&C projects that result in process changes.
About youYou are a match for this position when you hold a relevant Master's degree (e.g. Social Science, Economics, Law) and have relevant work experience as HR Business Partner or in an equivalent role. You will be part of a smaller, local People & Culture team and a bigger global P&C group.Knowledge of the Belgian Labour Law and experience in managing union relations is an absolute must. Experience in an international organization as well as experience with reorganizations is also required. As we are working in multicultural environment, you should be a fluent communicator in both Dutch and in English at business level.As a person you are self-reflective, resilient and believe in collaboration.
