As an Application Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering innovative software solutions and control systems that drive efficiency and performance for our customers. #LI-JB10🔧 Your RoleAs part of our Service & Delivery team, you’ll be responsible for:
- Implementing and upgrading software solutions, control loops, alarm management, and HMI configurations.
- Migrating legacy systems and databases.
- Collaborating closely with engineers, project managers, and customers.
- Occasionally working with development and second-line support teams for deeper technical insights.
- Interpret customer specifications and define system requirements.
- Configure and program control strategies and HMI systems.
- Support software upgrades, installations, and commissioning.
- Conduct system testing (FAT/SAT) and participate in on-site activities.
- Ensure accurate documentation and project execution planning.
- Provide cloud support and deploy software updates as needed.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Operational Technology, Control Engineering, or IT.
- Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
- Valid Category B driving license.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and work on-site.
- Programming knowledge (ladder logic, scripting, HMI engineering).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity and IT protocols (Modbus, Profibus, FF, Suitelink).
- Experience with HMI tools (AVEVA InTouch, FoxView/FoxDraw).
- SQL, VB, and scripting knowledge is a plus.
- Customer-focused and results-driven.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Agile, creative, and eager to learn.
- Effective communicator and team player.
