Full time job from Monday till Thursday, from 8:30 till 16:30, on Friday from 8:30 till 16:00.SpecificThe IT Systems Administrator is responsible for:Key accountabilities
- Execute job list as assigned on a daily basis.
- Communicate status of jobs to the IT Coordinator on a daily basis.
- Solve PC hardware and software problems quickly and completely.
- Solve end-user problems quickly and completely.
- Give appropriate levels of advice on compatibility of applications with existing systems, based on user requirements.
- Work with the IT Manager to plan network upgrades, to test and select new solutions.
- Manage infrastructure projects including vendor contact, scheduling and staying within budget.
- Work with the IT Manager to ensure that an appropriate business continuity plan is in place. Minimize the impact on the IT service of a serious disaster by developing, communicating and implementing a plan for recovery and by completing maintenance tasks (including performing backups, implementing virus protection and securing IT systems).
- Assess and differentiate risks to key systems and develop appropriate individual system recovery procedures.
- Develop a maintenance schedule.
- Identify failing systems and suggest solutions.
- Responsible for implementing backup and virus protection policies.
- Ensure school policy on staff and pupil access to data and files is implemented.
- Run the backup system and ensure the appropriate frequency and type of backup and the safe and orderly storage of backup.
- Manage specific IT networking systems so that users can securely and reliably access network and Internet resources. The systems that need to be managed are:
-wireless controllers
-wireless access points
-Windows 2019 / Linux operating systems
-HP Proliant servers
-HP Simplivity Hyperconverged
-HP EVA storage area network system
-Veeam Backup system
-APC uninterruptible power supplies
-Firewall
-Proxy servers
-Internet filters
-Exchange email server
-Air conditioning systems
-Alarm systems
-SCCM
-Phone systemQualificationsSkills and competences
- Excellent knowledge of ISB's network systems, PC hardware, and peripherals
- Excellent knowledge of Google suite
- Excellent knowledge of MAC and Windows operating systems
- Excellent knowledge of the MS Office suite and MS 365
- Excellent knowledge of PC management and cloning systems and concepts
- Excellent knowledge of networking concepts, including writing, Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, switches
- Excellent knowledge of Windows 2019 and 2022 servers.
- Excellent knowledge of Linux
- Excellent knowledge of MDM Solutions like Jamf and Zuludesk
- Good knowledge of Azure environment
- Excellent knowledge of URL, FTP, HTTP, and SMTP filtering
