Are you interested in working for top companies in your industry and do you like to improve your skills and expertise every day?We're looking for a Data Engineer with strong SQL and SAS skills to support a large-scale data migration from on-premise systems (Teradata, SAS) to a modern cloud environment (Azure Synapse, Databricks).What You'll Do
  • Analyze, design, and implement data management solutions in a cloud environment (Azure Synapse, Databricks).
  • Adapt and optimize existing SQL queries (Teradata / Azure Synapse / SQL Azure).
  • Support the migration of data models (LDM, datamarts) and address potential gaps.
  • Automate and maintain SAS scripts for execution within a cloud setup.
  • Develop, test, and validate SQL and SAS scripts to ensure data quality and consistent results.
  • Modify and create views in Teradata and in the Agile Data Warehouse platform.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure robust, performant, and scalable solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in data management and processing, ideally within a cloud migration context:
  • Basic knowledge of SAS Enterprise Guide, including scripting and automation.
  • Solid SQL skills (query optimization + migration from Teradata to Azure Synapse).
  • Fluent in French or Dutch, with good English.
  • Practical knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics and Databricks.
  • Understanding of data historicality, LDM, and datamarts.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
