Manage Olen legacy, incl Olera (RA in Olen):
Support with the development of an overall and technical strategy, and collaborate with legal, government affairs, finance and communciation
Work together with competent authorities (FANC, NIRAS, OVAM, commune, ANB,….) to implement the strategy
Get acquainted to the radioactive issue (incl history)
Manage budget of potentially several hundreds of millions
Avoid NOV's and non compliances
Manage provisions
Interact with Umicore Olen site (as the legacy is interlinked with site management)
Management of consultants (technical and legal)
Manage projects on other Belgian and Dutch legacies
Be part of the Environmental team, and support on the other topics (other legacy sites, M&A, pollution prevention and waste management and management of CoE's)
Who we are looking for
Education: Master degree or PhD in geology, geography, bio-engineering, environmental engineering or chemistry
Solid experience of solving complex EHS cases in cooperation with manufacturing sites and competent authorities
Solid project management experience
Language capacity: Dutch (min. C1), English (min. C1), French (min. B2)
Ability to think out of the box to find defendable, original and cost effective solutions
Strong ability to build interpersonal relations and act as a team player
Strategic thinking, analytical mindset
Efficient & diplomatic communication at all hierarchical levels, both internally with all departments/BUs and externally with authorities, stakeholders etc. both locally and globally
