As part of IFS, we’ll guide you to becoming a vital contributor in providing our colleagues and clients the best possible experience at PwC.Our Independence Team helps the firm, its partners and staff, manage a range of regulatory and professional requirements to ensure the firm’s independence from audit and assurance clients. We advise a broad range of internal stakeholders on the Independence requirements surrounding PwC’s relationships and interactions with third parties. As we are expanding our team dedicated to “Corporate Independence” matters, we are looking for the one who could become as passionate and dedicated to this topic and protecting the firm as we are - especially now we are gradually embarking on Global compliance systems and processes to clear and monitor arrangements within our vast community of solvers.Your impactAs a Compliance & Independence Officer, we are looking to increasingly expand your scope of knowledge so you are empowered to make an impact. You would be involved in:International independence assessmentsData gathering and reporting wrt to ongoing PwC client and vendor relationshipsAnalysing PwC services, and other commercial relationships to identify potential conflicts of interest with proposed audit missions. Advising on how to address conflicts of interestParticipate in an international network of such specialistsJoint business relationshipsAdvising engagement teams on the application of rules and policies with regards to joint business relationshipsAnalyse all firm proposed relationships with third parties setting out the grounds of their permissibilityMonitor the correct application of Joint Business Relationships approvals and continuing permissibility of relationships during their life cycle, including where necessary some administrative follow upTrain users and ensure the correct use of specific authorisation systemsParticipate in an international network of Joint Business Relationships specialistsDigital offeringsAssessing the compliance of new Digital offerings and servicesEnsuring independence controls with regards to Digital Offerings are appropriately appliedAbout you
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the international corporate environment
  • Bachelor/Master Degree
  • Ability to analyze laws and regulations,Very service minded
  • Strong attention for detail
  • Strong verbal/written communication, logical thinking, problem solving, analytical
  • Team player
  • Proactive to learn and to continuously develop technical knowledge
  • Experience in audit, compliance, process improvement and/or understanding of financial market and products offered to retail investors will be an asset.
