EMEA Finance DirectorAbout the roleDo you want to be part of the ambitious finance transformation of Bekaert while partnering in the transformation and growth of the global market leader of Steel Cord? In this job, you will be the financial business partner (FBP) for the business unit Rubber Reinforcement (RR) in de EMEA region.Your Impact as 'EMEA Finance director':
  • You will act as financial business partner for the business stakeholders: sales, operations, supply chain, procurement, ...
  • You will be responsible for planning, reporting and analysis of periodic financial performance, budgeting, strategic exercises and investment projects.
  • You will report to the VP Finance Rubber Reinforcement (RR), who reports to the Bekaert CFO, and you are member of the RR Finance Leadership Team (LT)
  • You would act as a member of the RR EMEA management team with P&L responsibility (annual revenues of 800mio€), and have 5 direct reports (over multiple sites).
  • You would be working closely together with (getting support from) peers of the RR Finance Leadership Team: global costing manager, global commercial finance manager and FP&A manager.
  • Playing a key role in the Bekaert Finance Transformation, incl. the Digital transformation
About YouEssential skills & competencies
  • You hold a master's degree in business administration, Economic Sciences, Sciences or comparable by experience.
  • You have 8+ years of experience as business (P&L) controller in a manufacturing/industrial and international environment (automotive sector experience would be a bonus); have a delivery record of accomplishment in, and understanding of financial, market & trade and macro-economic trends that influence the business in relevant industry or industries.
  • You are able to co-create, align and execute on the strategic vision and plan of your unit as part of the Bekaert strategy and are able to drive and engage a diverse community through influencing rather than hierarchy.
  • You have effective communication skills and even better listening skills that allows you to get the voice of the stakeholders.
  • You have an analytical mindset & capabilities to deep-dive financial analysis.
  • You can navigate your network to deliver and to cut through complexity, based on customer focus and an agile way of working.
  • You demonstrate a “better together” spirit while you support, challenge, drive execution and deliver results.
  • You challenge the status quo, stimulate innovation and continuous improvement. You are not afraid to challenge your stakeholders.
  • You can co-lead the transformation of our Finance function across our global footprint, and together with your team and other stakeholders in the external field (customers, suppliers, partners…), the business and functions; you build the necessary capabilities for the future.
  • You are fluent in English (oral and written).
  • You are willing to travel to different locations across Europe.
