We are looking for a Costing Specialist to support bid and project teams by developing accurate cost estimates and optimizing project cost structures within a fast-paced industrial environment.Your main responsibilities include:
Analyzing requests for proposals and evaluating material and manpower needs
Preparing detailed cost estimates and project lead times
Keeping costing databases up to date with:
Manufacturing operations and labor time
Latest supplier quotations (from Purchasing)
Identifying and proposing cost optimization opportunities
Providing accurate “Estimated to Complete” data during project execution
Participating in risk and opportunity assessments
Supporting Bid and Project Managers with strategic costing recommendations
Acting as an ERP referent within the project team
You have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanics or Logistics, and proven experience working with ERP systems. Experience in a similar role and/or within an international defense company is a strong asset.You are a team player, analytical, accurate, and customer-oriented.You have the ability to read technical drawings and bill of materials, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.You are skilled in Excel, and experience with Oracle ERP is a significant plus.
