Axians Communication Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Service Technician with a background in electronics to support the installation, integration, and maintenance of communication systems and IT infrastructure. You will work with a wide range of equipment-including vehicles, infrastructure, and control centers-and play a key role in deploying critical technologies for operations.Key Responsibilities
Integrate communication solutions with IP networks, audio interfaces, and monitoring systems.
Install and configure radio equipment and IT systems (network connections, VPNs, virtual machines, system updates).
Perform functional tests, diagnostics, and repairs on electronic and IT equipment.
Support the commissioning of new installations and the migration of existing systems.
Document installation procedures, system configurations, and maintenance operations.
Provide technical support to field users and control center personnel.
Monitor system alerts and respond to technical issues as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Electronics, Electrotechnics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Basic understanding of computer networks (Ethernet, IP addressing, basic troubleshooting).
Foundational knowledge of telecommunication systems (especially radio).
Ability to read technical diagrams and follow installation manuals.
Self-reliant, detail-oriented, service-minded, and a strong team player.
Valid category B driving license (field travel required).
Proficiency in either French or Dutch, with a good working knowledge of the other language.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with digital radio systems (DMR, TETRA).
Familiarity with communication protocols.
Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
Understanding of audio systems (speakers, microphones, signal processing).
Working Conditions
Work conducted in the workshop, office, and in the field.
Occasional travel to operational sites or depots.
Availability to provide off-hours technical support when required.
