About ENTSO-EENTSO-E is the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity. We coordinate the cross-border system operations, system development and electricity market activities of the 40 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) which cover 36 countries. You will contribute to the resilience and performance of IT services by ensuring infrastructure stability, security, and continuous improvement.In this role, you will work in the ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels in the Information and Communication Technologies section, reporting directly to the IT Manager.You will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid model, allowing for a blend of remote and in-office work to support a good work-life balance.Occasional travels may be required.Your responsibilities
Maintain, configure, and support physical and virtual servers and networks
Manage Microsoft environments including Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure AD, Intune, and Microsoft 365
Monitor and optimize VMware virtualization platforms (vSphere/ESXi)
Administer endpoint lifecycle and compliance through Intune
Implement IT security measures including identity management, patching, backup, and disaster recovery
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and requests
Lead or contribute significantly to infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and audits
Coordinate independently with teams and vendors to deliver solutions and resolve complex issues
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices
Create and maintain clear system documentation and operational procedures
Support knowledge sharing and mentor junior IT colleagues
Participate in shaping infrastructure standards, policies, and long-term IT strategies
Your profileWe are looking for someone with the following skills and abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
5-8 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure management
Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Entra ID, Intune
Experience with VMware virtualization platforms (vSphere, ESXi)
Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell)
Solid understanding of Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, patch management, and IT security best practices
Willingness to learn and continuously develop new skills.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English.
